Before joining Leeds Beckett as Head of the Centre for Tourism and Hospitality Management, Peter worked for ten years at University of Wolverhampton, as a Senior Lecturer in Tourism and Events. Prior to entering academia, Peter worked for the National Trust, West Oxfordshire District Council and University of Derby.

Dr Chi Thanh Vi

Dr Chi Thanh Vi’s research falls into the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) multidisciplinary domain, where there is a cross feeding between Computer Science, Neuroscience, and Psychology. Previously he was a Research Assistant at the Bristol Interaction & Graphics (BIG) Lab, University of Bristol. He has a PhD in Computer Science and an MSc in Advance Computing: Internet Technologies with Security.

Gina is an enthusiastic award winning tourism and marketing professional with twenty years experience of working within the tourism industry including public, private and voluntary sectors. She has been at WTSWW for four years and has successfully raised the profile of the Trust and its commercial assets through the development and delivery of creative marketing plans and techniques including virtual and augmented reality platforms. Her role also involves assisting in the delivery of the Trusts fundraising strategy and overseeing the operations at two of the Trusts flagship visitor centres to increase income, grow visitor numbers whilst maintaining high customer satisfactions levels. Professor of Operations & Process Management, Director of Centre for Innovation and Service Research, University of Exeter
His research interest is in the design and improvement of operational systems, particularly from an Activity System perspective. He is currently investigating Business Models in the mobile payments ecosystem, the optimisation of maintenance activities for off-shore wind farms, the improvement of patient experience in healthcare systems, and the modular design of activity systems. He engages a range of research approaches including case-based qualitative research, discrete event simulation, text analytics and modelling.
